Divoom iFIT-2 Portable Universal Sound Stage
With smart phones and tablet PCs being so popular it is only obvious that there will be a host of complementary gadgets for them, one being the Divoom iFIT-2 portable stereo speaker set which costs R199.
You can plug your iPhone or Samsung Galaxy – or other smart phones – or iPad into the iFIT-2 to create a mini sound system in your room. In fact, you can take the iFIT-2 anywhere with you because it is small and fairly lightweight. Yet, the system pumps out 6W – 3W per speaker – and covers a frequency rate of between 100 and 20 000Hz.
Divoom calls the iFIT-s a “Universal Sound Stage.” The Universal meaning it fits most mobile gadgets – even the iPod – and Sound Stage because the iFIT cradles the device, as shown in the pics.
“Portable” obviously means the iFIT-2 runs on rechargable batteries. You’ll be glad to know such batteries run for up to 7 hours. This is ideal if you have a load of music on your smart phone and want to share it with your friends at a braai; smart phone batteries should last that long and even longer.
The iPad battery operating time may not be as long as that of smart phones but you’ll find the iFIT-2 a nice addition to your iPad anyway because it will boost the sound of your plugged in iPhone when you’re at home. Simply dock your iPad into the iFIT-2.
We mentioned that the Divoom iFIT-2 is “fairly lightweight” and not featherweight. The reason is simple: the iFIT-2 is made solid enough to carry the weight of your gadget. It won’t topple; it will cradle your phone or iPad safely in horizontal and vertical position.
