Father’s Day is on Sunday 21 June 2015. Do something special this year – spend some extra time with your dad. You don’t have to take him out for lunch or dinner (although that will be nice), you can just hang out with him. And take him a gift that will remind him of your appreciation of him for time to come.
Think of something useful such as a new Android smartphone to replace that old cell phone he’s had too long or, perhaps, just an 8 gig flash drive on which he can store photos, videos or even some work data.
We have some suggestions for a Father’s Day gift that are affordable and durable –
The smartphone we have in mind costs only R799. It is the Proline Amgoo AM513, a really nice-looking Android smartphone.
This is a proper Android smartphone with all the bells and whistles that you’d expect from a nice phone. It has a 4-inch multi-touch screen, front and rear camera, 4 gig storage and a micro slot that takes a MicroSD card up to 32 gig in size. The processor is a 1.2GHz Dual Core and the memory is 512MB. It also has a USB port.
It is a Dual Sim HSPDA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) enhanced 3G smartphone with bluetooth and Wi-Fi and GPS. It is a real nice phone with a real nice price. In short, it is a real nice Father’s Day gift which you can get here on the Essential IT Solutions online shop.
Verbatim 8GB Pinstripe Flash Drive
With USB ports in every computer, laptop and tablet, in smartphones, in TV sets, DVD players, multimedia players, photo frames and in car radios, a USB flash drive is a very useful gift indeed.
Really, one can never have enough flash drives, especially if you also use them to store work data.
There’s always the question: “How much can I store on an 8 gig flash drive?” The answer is: 475 songs, 900 photos or 3 full length feature movies. Or if it is meant for work, an 8GB flash drive can store more than 5 000 Office files. All that for just R50!
