Intel Core i5-4430 Computer System

The Core i5-4430 is the new 4th generation Intel Haswell processor. Measured clock for clock, the performance of the new Haswell is up by about 10% over the previous generation Ivy Bridge. The quad core i5-4430 operates at 3 GHz but, using the Turbo feature, can be clocked to 3.2 GHZ. 

Gigabyte GA-787-D3HP motherboard

This system is built on the Gigabyte’s new 8 Series Socket 1150 GA-787-D3HP motherboard with the Intel Z87 chipset. With no less than 10 USB 3.0 ports and a host of new technologies. Hexus reviewed it and concluded: “A competent board in all respects, Gigabyte’s Z87-D3HP has all the major tickboxes checked.”

Details of the component included in this computer system package is explained in the first picture but we would like to point out the power supply unit as well. It is the Thermaltake LitePower 550W unit with an ultra-quiet 120mm cooling fan. It is TUV, CE and GOST approved, with 100,000 hours MTBF. It is also worth noting that it comes with an extra long EPS/ATX 12V 4+4pin CPU cable which means it can be used in even the biggest available tower chassis.

Good for gaming?

Is this system good for gaming? Yes it is! Depending on the game, of course. As Overclockers UK points out:

The biggest leap in Intel’s Haswell processor is the onboard graphics which is now up to 2.6x faster than previous HD4600 found in the Ivybridge CPU. What this means is these latest processors can actually play the latest games in HD with low/medium settings applied. Of course if you want to experience True HD gaming at maximum details then a dedicated graphics card is still a must.

The motherboard supports a maximum shared graphics memory of 1 GB but with 4 PCI Express slots (one that is PCIEX16) and support for AMD CrossFire technology you have a wide option of graphics cards.
