Razer BlackShark BF3 Gaming Headset

The fighter pilot design of the Razer BlackShark Battlefield 3 Collector’s Edition headset is impressive. According to Razer, the “sound-isolating circumaural ear cup design is inspired by those found on headsets worn by real pilots, blocking out distracting ambient noises to keep the tactical chatter over radio and immersive sounds of war in.”

In intense tactical games you need to know what is going on around you every single second. Your team will depend on it. This is where the BlackShark becomes a valuable accessory to your gaming arsenal – it will match any loudness out there.

“Hear the loud clatter of a machine gun, the deep tremor from a tank’s canon blast, or the ground-shaking explosions, as if you were right there in the thick of the action, with the headset’s crisp clear and bass-enhanced stereo audio.”

A set of the BlackSharks was put through the paces by HardwareHeaven and they said:

Our first test of course took us into Battlefield 3 in stereo mode and immediately we were aware that this was a loud headset. Paired with the Creative Soundblaster Titanium HD and its inbuilt headphone amp we immediately had to turn down the volume when compared to the Sennheiser 300 series and Steelseries 7H settings we normally use. This is no bad thing though as too much volume is always better than too little!
